Naming + Branding for the Affinion Group HR Mindfulness Program designed to achieve a greener workplace.
Capitalizing on the name LEAN GREEN, which promotes global citizens to move towards the greener choice – this logo concept conveys a simple yet powerful combination of the planet and a leaf. The latitude and longitude lines create the planet, and the natural shape that forms in the center is highlighted in green to create the leaf shape which represents the environmentally-friendly aspect of the program. The tilt of Earth’s access worked seamlessly to tie in the “LEAN” aspect of the name, allowing the name LEAN GREEN to follow the tilt which emphasizes that the entire logo is leaning.
The Lean Green campaign includes in-office posters, cafe table cards, elevator tip signs, lobby tv screens, coffee mugs, window decals, and seeded wrist bands.
Canson, a French manufacturer of fine art papers for more than 450 years, planned to market a collection of papers specifically for printmaking. Canson Edition was born, and Ostro Design was asked to rebrand the line. The logo design married the concept of mirror imaging with an organic impression of ink and texture, and a clever typographic juxtaposition, to position the brand as the printmaker’s choice.

This logo combines the iconic pin drop graphic with the classic keystroke smiley face. Together, these design elements say “Happiness and wellness are right here!” This pilot program is intended to roll out to all US-based Affinion Group offices.
